Music:Tears for Fears - Shout..

Okay.  I officially do not have any sense of direction.

. .  .

I wanted to power walk two miles (but in my head, I told myself that I should power walk four miles).  I don't think I'm ready to run a mile because I'm so out of shape!  But anyway, I "tried" taking a shortcut through Miles Square Park, and I found myself walking four miles anyways.

. . .and this, is the highlight of the day.  I need a good job--FBI would be cool.  :P

Have a good one!

Subject:The Adventures of Jennay and Tammies Summer Kick Off.
Time:2:05 pm.
Mood: blank.
Music:Sheena Easton - Modern Girl..
Okay, so the past month wasn't exactly the best month ever. But hey, that's all a part of life. I just don't want to grow up sometimes, and I wish I was still that five year old that was pampered with no responsibilities except for being a good little kid. ;)

Things have been all right. I've made some decisions this past month, including giving a three weeks notice to my boss at my internship. I told her last week, that I was going to leave in June, and she was "fine" with it. I had my resume critiqued, and I'm going to go on that surge of applying for jobs again. It's been a year since I've graduated, and I still have yet to landed a job that I find extreme interest in. I feel so behind, even though I obtained a Masters at such a fast pace.

Anyway. . .before (hopefully) I land a job that "dream job" or that entry-level-job-that-I-do-not-want-to-begin-in-ever-with-a-low-pay search, let's talk about the Adventures of Jennay and Tammies! :)

Yes, my lovely friends, I have another story to tell you that happened last Thursday.

Before I do, CONGRATULATIONS KIET!!! WE'RE SO PROUD OF YOU!!! HURRAY CLASS OF 2007!!! :)

Jenny and I arrived to Kiet's lunch (late, SORRY!!!), actually, extremely late (SORRY!!!), and we spent some time with him. :) The graduation boy, I'm sure, ate (and I missed it, so I couldn't cause a scene). Khoa D. and An Hoa were still there, and of course, the grad. young man himself--Kiet. We were at Jasmine Thai and the migrated to Jamba Juice. We were at Goldenwest/Westminster where we just talked about life; I got picked on because of Jenny (biatch! ;)) [until An defended me, woo hoo :P]. . .but that was fun! Good times!

But anyways, An Hoa had to go. Khoa D. was hungry, so he ordered some food at Weinersnitzchel (OMG, I BUTCHERED THAT, too lazy to look up the spelling, ahahaha), and again, we sat around and conversed with each other. :) It was fun!

Poor Khoa D. and Kiet was dragged around by Jen and me. We went to the Post Office when a woman reprimanded me for not labeling my items correctly (which NO ONE ever reprimanded before about). She was nice about it but sheesh!

Anyway, we all looked at hair accessories at this wig place called Paul's where Jen and I bought some cool clips that were .99. :) We went to all of the litte shops around there--Susie's Deals, Payless, Mode Five, etc. We went to Rite Aid, looked around, and Khoa ordered some yummy ice cream! :) I wanted to eat ice cream, but I knew I'd get the runs if I mixed chocolate and my Mango-A-Go-Go (From Jamba Juice) together. :(

Our last stop was Payless, and we said our goodbyes to Kiet and Khoa. Gave each other hugs! :)

It was around 3:45 P.M., and I asked Jenny: "So, what do you want to do?" I didn't want to go home, and Jen didn't want to either! Jen said the mall, and we did! :)

We went into the small shops; we were successful in NOT spending any money. . .not until we hit Macys.

Macys is such an evil, evil place. SO EVIL!!! I dragged Jen STRAIGHT to the shoe department because I wanted this really hot lookin' red shoe. Dammit, I wanted it so badly! I grabbed a size 10 shoe, asked the Macys employee to look up 8.5 for me at another location.

While the poor employee was waiting on the phone, I decided to talk to her and tried avoiding the shoe racks. I got acquainted with the Macys worker--Noviana (beautiful name, by the way). I asked her what her ancestry was because she didn't look quite Vietnamese, and I was right--Indonesian and Chinese. :) So cool! She told me she has a daughter, married an Italian American; she was just a sweet woman. As we were talking for a bit, Jenny came back from the other side of the room from browsing, holding a bunch of shoes! She showed the dark red pumps that I wanted but was in her size, light silver shoes that I wanted to get in my size on Monday but didnt because of a blemish, and a satin black/white contrast flowerly pump.

I laughed because it's funny how much we're so much alike sometimes. :) They're all made by Nine West, and its either the pumps I have OR I wanted to get but 1) didn't have it in my size or 2) there was something wrong with it (highlight marks, etc).

Anyway, it's a miracle that Jenny grabbed some shoes, let alone pumps! If you know Jen well enough, she loves flip flops and flats; she buys shoes once in a blue moon! Anyway, Noviana gave me the phone, told me that if they found my shoe and just put it on hold under my name. Novi got Jen's shoes; she wound up buying all three Nine West shoes, and I left with a black pair of pumps by Karen Scott AND on a mission to pick up my red Nine West pumps at FASHION ISLAND.

Yes, it was so worth traveling to Fashion Island in admist of traffic hour just to get them. ;) Jenny thought that we were just going to go there and pick up my shoes; I told her that I was going to pick it up. . .but we both browsed the clearance racks yet again!

Seriously, it is out of character for Jen to browse or buy any shoes. She usually floats over to the dress section and picks those out! ;) But anyway, while I was browsing, this adorable (yet flamboyant, if you know what I mean) young guy approaches me and says: "Hi! You were the one that put those shoes on hold, right?" And I gave the how-did-you-know-it-was-me look and said: "Yes! Thank you so much!" Seriously, those red pumps are sexy.

Anyway. I told him I'd go to him if I needed help, and he smiled and walked away. When I looked for Jen, I wanted her to get the same guy who got my red shoes. . .because he's SO AWESOME for finding the shoes that I wanted for MONTHS!!! (Yes, I saw it when it first came out on the Nine West website). It turned out Jen gave her shoes to the same guy who found my red shoes!!! :)

I found about four shoes that I wanted, and I went to Jen to see what she was up to. . .SHE FOUND MORE SHOES THAT SHE WANTED! OMG! It was like Jen held in her need for shoes for years and finally the inner shoe goddess broke out or something. She held a few shoes that she REALLY liked. Steve Madden's lace shoes, Alfani's evening shoes, Nine West Black Freda Pumps (the ones you got for me, Viet!!! :)), and another Nine West Cheetah Strap shoes. :)

I had these really cute cream Alfani shoes (very unique looking), Nine West Brown sling backs, BCBG black low heels with a buckle, and the same Steve Madden lace heels.

So here is why I call this an adventure because this was the highlight of the night:

Reuben, our shoe guy, brought out our shoes. MY SHOES were perfect. Everything was fine; everything was perfect for ME.

Jenny, on the other hand, was a different story. LOL.

Jen found these black Freda pumps that she really wanted! Jenny is usually a round-toed person, but yesterday, she pretty much, for the most part, bought pointy-toed shoes. She would usually buy round-toed mary janes, or she would point out as to how cute they look! :)

So Reuben brought out these Freda pumps, and Jen was so excited to try it on. . .and she did. I was busy with my shoes, and she walked in it and then sat down. She showed me the shoes, and she said: "Uh, I felt uneven." She gave me the shoes, and I looked at both of them. Yup, they were different. I compared the colors of the soles and the size of the heels. She got the black Nuncio heels instead of the high heel Freda.

Reuben came back to us, and Jen told him that they were different size heels. He was embarrassed and apologized. While Jen was waiting for those black heels, she was walking in the Nine West sling backs. . .but for some odd reason, I noticed her wearing a black Ninewest sling back (the Jessicas) on the left and the brown Ninewest sling Jessicas on the right. She told me that Reuben left so quickly to find the black Fredas for her that she didn't have the chance to tell him that he gave the WRONG color mate Jessicas that she wanted (she wanted to try the black ones but liked the brown ones instead, so it worked out pretty good ;)).

He came back with the black Fredas and apologized. You would think that Jenny can't walk in heels because she's so used to flip flops, you know? Well, how is that saying? She has two left feet or something like that if she wobbles? Well, literally, he brought back TWO LEFT black freda shoes. LOL. Jen and I laughed SO HARD, and he came back again, and we apologized for giving him such a hard time about these black shoes. . .but we explained to him that he brought back two left shoes for her. There was one point when Jen told me to tell him to get the right shoe for her because he kept giving her the wrong pairs of shoes!

He brought back the brown Jessicas for her, and THEN, he brought back the black Fredas. . .

Yes, my friends, it was the right color, the right size heels, BUT THE WRONG SIZE! He brought back the black mate, and it was an 8.5 MATE. THAT'S MY SIZE!!! ahahaha. It was hilarious!

After, what felt a zillion tries to get Jenny's RIGHT BLACK FREDA SHOES, he finally brought back the right shoe in the right size for her. :) We picked and chose what shoes was yays and what were nays.

We finally were checking out, and I told him THANK YOU SSSSOOOOO MUCH for finding those red pumps for me. And I kept thanking him and told him I would have paid double for it (I would have; it was THAT great). And he said no problem, etc. etc.

I thought Jenny was the only one that had the bad juju with him; it seemed that I got a small dosage myself. I thought I got off PRETTY EASY!!! He only rung me up for two shoes, and I was like "Uh, where is the third shoe?" And I told him that he forgot about my red pumps. Then he asked if it was in the pile that we were looking at and pointed to it, and I said "No." Jen had a blank look on her face and was about to bust out. I heard crickets in my head. Seriously. Crickets. He scurried to find my red pumps and finally did. IT TURNED OUT THAT THEY PUT IT BACK!!! HIS CO-WORKERS PUT IT BACK!!! He apologized so much to me, and I said it was okay.

Jen and I left with many shoes but left with one of the best memories from Fashion Island--Reuben and the shoe department.

After we went to Fashion Island, we STILL wanted to be away from home. We met up with Noogies and An at Thai Goldenwest and then migrated BACK to the Westminster Mall. Jen and I were trying to look different by tying up our hair or something so the shoe department people wouldn't recognize us. ahahahha.

Novi saw us again, and she was like, "Wow, you're back!!! You brought back friends!!!" LOL. I picked out the same Nine West sling back for An because she needed heels. :) Instead of the black, she got the same brown one like me! ;) Noogies held all of our belongings (poor guy), so he was pretty pimpin. hahaha. It was funny because one of the Macys shoe guys came to him and said: "Hey, what's up man." And I guess he felt sorry for him because he held all of our purses!

An got her shoes; we left the mall. She went home. It was now Noogies, Jennay, and I. We STILL didn't want to go home, so we karaoked (Viet, I wanted you to come out BUT you were probably asleep for work :(). It was 10 P.M. or something like that, and we karaoked our hearts away. It was SO MUCH FUN!!! It was my first time seeing Jenny rap (at a karaoke place). ahahahhaa. She's determined to master Nelly (not Furtado) songs!!! LOL. OMG, it was "Hot in Herre" and you know how there's that window in Elvis?! When it was playing, some guy poked his mohawk head and bumpin' to it. We all laughed!!!

I skipped Noogies song by accident because I thought I chose the wrong song; it was funny. :)

After karaoke, we all went home!

SO. That was yet another Jennay and Tammies Adventure.

Until next time! :)

Subject:Why I have faith in humanity and why Poppy is a murderer.
Time:12:30 am.
Mood: okay.
Music:Maroon 5 - Makes Me Wonder..
So I spent most of Thursday hanging out with my brother, and let me tell you, it was nice! It was great spending time with any of my brothers, especially Quang!

Quang, as many of you know, is one of the coolest guys out there, and he opens doors for me, which I thought I would never walk into--such as a Vietnamese coffee shop.

But hey, it's not as bad as our parents make it seem. It's just a bunch of girls who are hoochified, but they're freakin' nice in contrary to what the cliche is.

But that's besides the point. :)

Well.

I have faith in humanity. You would think that I would hate the world right now, but hey, losing someone who you care about is just a part of life. I'm not talking about death; I'm talking about incompabilities between two people. But that's not the reason why I still have faith in humanity.

As Markie would say, "GET TO THE PUNCHLINE!!!"

Back to my Thursday outing with the bombass bro Quang, we went to Target together, and I couldn't help but overhear a woman talk to a mother about her van as I quickly passed by with the coolest BCB Girls heels that I paid a fortune for. ;)

Target worker: Wait, wait hold on.
*puts cellphone down as she walks towards the woman, who is a mother because she had a little child in the cart*
Woman: *Looks over to the Target Worker as she caught her attention*
Target worker: I left a note on your winshield wiper.
Woman: *confused as the Target worker was speaking to her* Huh?
Target worker: I was on my break, and I noticed that your car door was completely open.
Woman: IT WAS?!?
Target worker: I closed it and left a note on your winshield wiper.
Woman: Thank you so much! *completely grateful and happy*

This. . .is something that is completely petty to many people, but I find it refreshing that people like this exist. :)

It's so sweet to see people being kind, expecting nothing in return. It's not like that Target worker asked for compensation. She did it out of the kindness of her heart. May good things come to the Target worker! :)

. . .while I have renewed my faith in humanity, I found out that Poppy is a murderer!

My cute little chihuahua. . .the coolest of all coolest chihuahua ever, a murderer?!?

Yes, my friends. She hates bees, apparently. They're not the HUGE black bubblebees that you would see in children's coloring books. It's those brown little bees that would buzz around but can still produce a nasty sting!

So. . .I was changing my girls waterbowls because I do that every morning for them. There's nothing refreshing then a nice cold bowl of water in the morning! I think my girls expect it now. ;)

I dodged the plants that had the bees buzzing, and I seriously thought that I was being chased by one because I kept hearing a buzzing noise near my right ear. So I walked fast, like the idiotic person that I am. Anyway, they were buzzing around my dad's plants.

And I noticed Sunny jumping up and down, and I'm thinking: "Oh great, there she goes again." Sunny stops jumping and runs to me, and Poppy doesn't care that I was standing in front of her. Instead, she attacked the two bees that were just collecting pollen!!! :( :( :(

She attacked them and pretty much killed them one by one!!! ONE-BY-ONE!!! She would take her paw, smush the bee, take her tiny mouth and attack the bee, shake it back and forth REPEATEDLY!!! She would do it until it stopped moving!

She did it again to another bee.

I always thought that she was a sissy, but she's a bully and a murderer!!! :(

. . .but she's still cute. :) I love her!

Oh yeah, by the way, Sunny killed yet another oppossum. She has a personal vendetta against those poor critters.

. . .:X

Thanks everyone for the phone calls to check to see if I'm okay. I'm just coping with my situation with the ex-boyfriend, and I'm doing okay. :) Thanks Viet, Nguyen, and Jenny who comforted me last Thursday when it happened. Love you guys. :)

I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart everyone, thanks. :D

Have a good one!

Just wanted to let you guys know.

Subject:MY LEG!!!
Time:10:22 am.
Mood: happy.
Music:Stevie Wonder - If You Really Love Me..
MY LEG!!! DAMN, MY LEG!!! It's asleep. :)

Okay, so this girl used to blog aaaalllll the time, but what the hell happened, right? It seems during those stressed days at schools. . .I found time to blog, but life was interesting then. ;) But now, what do I do?

Well, pretty much nothing. I've been a bum for about seven months, which, in my opinion, well-deserved rest for all the years I tortured myself. However, after one month, I felt that I was ready to be stressed out again and to be on my feet. ;)

Well, hopefully, I will be stressed out again, so I can shed some weight that I gained (yes, I feel like Jabba the Hut right now). I was telling Jen that I feel like the blue whale. Of course, I should exercise anyway. I think I'll do that after my internship.

What? Internship? Yes! Score! After seven months of tears and pain, I still haven't landed a job, but I think I've landed a step closer on what I want--to work for the government and be its slave. lol. Okay, I should be more optimistic. Work for the government and be it's happy, pappy, optimistic helper. ;) I wouldn't have landed that internship if it weren't for my friend Linda M. for telling me of the opening. I'm not sure on how long I'll stay; my first day was supposed to be today, but the lady who is mentoring me is too busy. She wants me to start on Tues. Six hours of research, proofreading, and perhaps, writing. I'm looking forward to using my well-rested brain right now. I want to learn, dammit.

This upcoming year, I'm reapplying to the PhD program again (delaying myself two years, I know), but this time, I have experience under my belt. :) And if I don't get into the PhD program, then I'm going to apply to teaching credentials, Masters of Criminology, and PhD in Education (instead of Poli. Sci.). Okay, PhD in Education? Yeah, I actually don't mind being a principal or some kind of an administrator at school. I think I work well with teens to some level (sorta), and I definitely work well with university students. ;)

I've been saving money, but damn, I cracked this week. (I can see Viet pointing and laughing at me. . .:( :( :( ). Okay, I bought $100 worth of VS pajamas. :X And I cracked at New York and Company--bought four blazers. lol. But it was inexpensive!!! $53 for four blazers?!? I LOVE THEIR BLAZERS!!! Three pinstripe and one solid. Ugh, I'm so frivilous. I don't even have a real job yet. :(

Internship=> Experience => Higher Chance of Getting a Job. => Job. :X

It felt good spending money. :D I hope I don't have that sickness of constant spending. I was doing so well for a week. ;)

Anyway, just wanted to give you guys a quick update about what's going on. Don't know if you guys have been chillin' together or not, but I miss you guys! Invite me next time if you guys have a gathering!!! :D

I need so sport my new haircut. Dennis touched my hair and made it prettier. lol. Well, I look the same, I guess. Just shorter hair and a blue whale. :(

Anyway, have a good one! :D

Time:10:59 am.
Mood: surprised.
Music:J & HoWL - Sarang Hae Yo (Perhaps Love)..
Okay! This is my third attempt to writing this entry! My computer keeps rebooting, and now, I resorted to typing this in Word. How unprecedented! ;)

Speaking of unprecedented, I must say that the whole presidential bidding that has been going on this past month from the Democratic end is quite interesting, and to me, it’s very exciting! You can expect me to follow it as months progress and as we get closer to the 2008 presidential election. :)

So, what’s exciting about it?

First off, Obama is running! Yes, Obama, not Osama. (Though, CNN did do a “typo” about Osama. “Where’s Obama?” which was supposed to be “Where’s Osama?” I still think that it wasn’t a typo! Sorry for being a little skeptical. ;) It’s politics after all). So, what’s the deal about this guy? Well, let’s just say that I was surprised that he was running; he doesn’t have much experience as a politician. Two years of experience, to me, isn’t enough, even though he’s a senator. The “traditional” presidential candidate has years, if not decades, of experience in the political realm (legislative, judicial, or executive (in terms of advisor or what not). I mean, look at Vice President Dick Chenney and even President George Bush Jr. (Yes, even he had experience, folks). However, Obama thinks of his lack of experience as a good thing and argues that his purpose to renew the nation, etc. etc. So what’s an interesting aspect of this candidate?

He’s black! Okay, he’s not the first black candidate to run for the presidency. ;) But it’s interesting with the combination of the lack of political experience and being a minority. I’m glad that more politicians of diverse backgrounds are running.

Alright folks, what’s the next big candidate? Last night, Senator Hilary R. Clinton had a video on her website last night, stating that she’s in and she’s ready to win. I remember Jenny and I talked about politics some time ago about this, and I told her how I felt about Sen. Clinton running. I didn’t think she’d run in 2008. One of my “comps” question surrounded the whole issue of women politics, and duh, she’s a woman, and, duh, she’s a politician. I agreed with previous literature about her not running, and she was even interviewed in 2000 (I believe that was the year but could be wrong) about running in 2004. She said no for various reasons.

I wonder what changed her mind in 2008. I was certain she would run in 2012; by that time, the nation should be more open-minded (I hope). More women, by that time, should be involved in politics (talking about the House and the Senators). I still stand by what I said to Jenny months ago—we’re not ready for this. We weren’t ready in 2000, 2004, and the upcoming 2008. One can argue: “Then when is the right time?” It’s all about timing; what’s going on currently. . .I mean, look at the whole gay marriage situation. It’s like civil rights all over again. Right? We have to deal with the folks in the South (they still believe in the Confederacy, for the most part). I mean, I’m not saying that everyone else is better than the South. The South has rich politics as well and so many events happened there, but they’re just a bit tad different from the rest of the nation in terms of how they vote collectively.

My assessment as to “If Sen. Clinton Will Win. . .” is far off reach. Hey, she just announced that she’s running, but I must say that she has a powerful force behind her. She’s been an outspoken voice in the Democratic party (thank goodness), and she’s promoted so many wonderful things (i.e. emphasizing women politics). Of course, there are the Clinton haters out there (my beloved significant other cringes at the Clintons). I’m sure if I ran for some kind of political office. . .then there will be Tammy haters. :P But anyway, I believe in Dr. Matthewson when he said that there’s that population of men who despise her because she’s. . .outspoken and gives that “masculine” appearance. :X Men are threatened by that for some odd reason. Some, at least.

Anyway, American politics is more exciting than ever. Of course, it’s exciting to me because two minorities from the same party are running, which, in turn, they’re opening new opportunities for everyone else. And hey, you don’t have to be a winner to prove a point. If Sen. Obama or Sen. Clinton doesn’t win and isn’t backed by the Democratic party 100%, it’s already been set in stone. Our nation is finally progressing, even if we’re not ready for an African American president or a woman president. Sen. Obama and Sen. Clinton don’t have the full backing of the Democratic party (understandable!). It’s too early to tell.

I already know who I am voting for (at this point); though, it could change as more candidates jump into the picture. :)

I was waiting for John Kim to make a post about his thoughts about what’s going on. :P I guess I jumped the gun before him this time! ;) Sorry that my “first” political lj post couldn’t be that shaking finger at our strange president at the moment. Though, I’d think I’d offend all of the neo-conservatives out there and the closet neo-cons. ;)

So. . .

Any thoughts about the Democratic party (other than that they’re gradually crawling out of their weak state) and these candidates? I find it mighty interesting indeed.

People usually hate politics, but remember. . .

Politics is power. Whether you like it or not, it’s deeply intertwined in all of our lives.

By the way, Happy 2007! :)

Hey guys!

Pumpkin Carving Party at my house is canceled. :( I went to work yesterday, and I really don't know when I'll get out on Saturday. We can't switch it to Sunday because I am obligated to go to some place elsewhere. Sorry for the disappointment and hope to see you guys before Thanksgiving. :)

Life sucks for me right now. No job offers that I want right now, no state auditor job, a bunch of nothingness. I'm suffering, but I'm just coping and dealing with it. Taking a step at a time. :)

Maybe if I close my eyes, something good could happen. :P As of right now, I'm just being me and trying not to let life get the better of me. :)

Have a good one everyone!

Subject:Oh yes it's pumpkin night~! =) And the feeling's right! Oh yes it's pumpkin night (oh what a night
Time:9:53 am.
Hey guys and gals! :)

Pumpkin Carving Night, indeed~! XD We'll probably do it at my place on the 28th. I know, it's a Saturday instead of a Sunday!!! I'll let the folks know that my buds are coming over to have some fun, fun, fun!!! I should be home at 8 P.M. :) We could begin everything earlier like around 7:00 P.M. or so. :)

We'll carve pumpkins and watch scary movies, and as many of you know, you'll see the fine lines of the ghouls, monsters, etc. because of my bros. (the choice of hdtv :P). And for you that have light stomachs, don't want to watch scary movies (I could name one cool biatch out there ;)), we'll utilize the kitchen or the patio to the highest degree.

Let's also make this a Happy Birthday party for my bro. Quanger. :) His birthday is on Halloween!!!

Be sure to bring utensils (you know, knives) to carve your own pumpkins. It should be fun, fun, fun~!

Who's in?

Subject:Halloween Haunt
Time:10:25 am.
Hey everyone!

Let's do Halloween Haunt this year. I'm going to take advantage of some of the So-Cal activities, just in case that I get a job in who knows where!

I was aiming for this Sunday but after just a tad people, they can't make it! Next sunday? :)

Mark and Annie are doing theirs on Saturday, the 21st. You can go with them, if you want! I'm going on the 22nd because it won't be TOO crowded and not a big chance of it being sold out! And if it is, Queen Mary is the way to go! ;)

Alright, that's about it! Tell me if you can make it~!

Subject:I didn't get it. :(
Time:12:12 pm.
Music:Carl Carlton - Bad Mama Jamma..
Hey guys,

Just updating you guys. :( I just took the writing assessment. This is what I get for being cocky. WAH!!! I don't think I did very well. I wasn't cohesive, coherent, and concise. This is pretty pathetic. I woke up this morning thinking, "Shit, if they send me that writing assessment, then I'm not going to write it. I don't feel like writing right now." And behold, they sent me that link, and I thought to myself, "Great. I don't feel that I'm up to par."

I regret jumping into it. I don't think I did well on the writing assessment at all. My dream to get "paid well" and buy me my freedom goes straight down the hole.

If only I stopped brainstorming for thirty minutes and just write on a whim, then I would have done well. I only had two hours, and I couldn't even prove the best of the best of my writing. My paragraphs were choppy, sucky, and I don't think I am going to the third phase.

I told Jenny that maybe I was meant for this job because I did so well on the initial interview. The more that I think about it, Tom was right--I set my standards way to high. I know I shouldn't type this until I find out on the results, but I feel that I'm being tortured. :( Viet P. said not to worry because not many people write well. Although I find myself as a sufficient and average writer, the best wasn't displayed today. I can't help but worry when he was awaiting results. On a scale of 10, I would rate my paper a 3. That's how bad it is.

Remember the days when I complained about an A-? Well, this is more complaining about the GREs, and how much of a failure I am. I can't believe writing is my forte, and I f*cked up big time. :( I wanted to demonstrate to them that I COULD be a great writer, and I COULD write innovative ideas. But all in all, I think they're not going to choose me at all.

Gosh, I feel so sad. :( Maybe me splurging last night was a sign for me, a sign that I was going to be a failure today (again). Just when you think things are going well, it just goes down the boob tube all over again.

Finding a job sucks, and I wish they liked me enough to just hire me in the first phase. :(

I guess I'm not going to the third phase at all.

I can't tell you how confident I am about this. I'm so confident that I didn't pass, and I have my reasons why. :(

So, that's my update. Tammy, the loser, at her best. :(

Subject:Mixed Emotions.
Time:1:29 pm.
Mood: indescribable.
Music:Van Halen - You Really Got Me..
Oh my goodness.

I think things finally are looking up. I haven't had good news in a VERY LONG time. If you guys are in the job hunt like me right now, things are pretty bad, especially for Political Science folks. After day-in-and-day-out of job applying, things are finally beginning to look up.

I just passed the first phase in the interviewing process, and to me, this is the most difficult part. I had two interviewers that drilled me on three questions, and for once in my life, I replied back as if it was a water from a drain. I analyzed the questions in a quick and coherent manner.

I'm happy that I passed the initial part; the second part requires me to write an essay, which many of you know, isn't too difficult.

The reason why I have mixed emotions is that I'm going to leave everything behind. My family, my friends, and my boyfriend; I'm even contemplating my dogs. I find myself with my hand in my pockets at a split road. This is a great opportunity for me, but at the same time, I'm in a position that I never wanted to be in. I keep telling Tom that I need to be in an environment that is filled with writing and encourages me to use critical thinking skills. This is a job that I may be doing for a good portion of my life.

What's the job?

California State Auditor.

Yep, I want to work with the people who audits government agencies in a nonpartisan manner.

I'm also mixed about the whole thing because I might not be able to do the whole PhD program for a VERY long time. I don't know if I want to do that. Doing the PhD is my dream; as of right now, I'm faced with a decision, a HUGE decision. Do I want to begin my career now or wait 4-6 more years? My only option is that I go to U.C. Davis, which is about fifteen miles away from Capitol Mall. :(

I don't know what to do. I DON'T have the job right now, but things are looking good. These are but one of the FEW problems that I will run into.

Will you guys visit me in Sac. if I get the job? If I decide to bring my dogs, they'll be my only friends. :( If I don't have my dogs with me, I'm going to be a LONER!!! Wah!!!

Anyway, damn Viet for getting his county job. (Congratulations!!! :D) I was going to drag him to norcal with me to be my cook, if I get the job. I was going to pay him $2 per meal for his hard work. :( $1 for his labor and a $1 for food supplies. :( Damn.

Anyway, wish me luck on the writing assessment stuff. I'll let you guys know if I made it or not. Hopefully, I will. :)

Have a good one! :D
